These Lessons were first drawn up for a Gaelic Class taught by the compiler, were subsequently published in the Highlander Newspaper, and at the suggestion of parties who had found theui useful, were three years ago printed in book form. The First Edition was bought up within a few months of its publication, but various circumstances combined to postpone the issue of a second until now. In one or two instances the method of the Lessons has been slightly altered — it is hoped, for the better — and the list of convesational phrases and other exercises have been extended.
