This is a report on a third workshop on managing technical debt, which took place as part of the 34rd International Conference on Software Engineering (ICSE 2012). The goal of this third workshop was to discuss managing technical debt as a part of the research agenda for the software engineering field, in particular focusing on eliciting and visualizing debt, and creating payback strategies.
